What a week this has been! On Tuesday morning we celebrated the life of Jan Vickers at Umina. On Wednesday I completed an online compulsory “Ethical Ministry” training session, met with Owen Talauta from Synod at Umina to talk about Property Development, and participated in the 7pm Church Council meeting. Thursday I undertook the Review of Donna Knee, our Family and Community Worker. Friday was the 9am Prayer Meeting and 5pm Friday Family Church. Saturday we held our “Future Directions Gathering” at Kincumber, following on from our Church Meetings on Sunday 28th September.

Sunday 12th October sees two very different services. At Umina we are focussing on Jeremiah 29, one of the Lectionary readings for the day and Frank’s favourite. At Kincumber Jean Fletcher and I will be baptising Zahria and Noah O’Callaghan and blessing their brother Isiah. Pray for these children, and for their parents Polly and Karl.

I have not written this to show you the extent of my Supply Ministry, but to celebrate the life that we share together at Central Coast South: from “hatches” to “despatches” (as the old adage says) and everything in between! Some “matches” (Weddings) would be nice too.

What can you do? Pray: both personally and by coming to the Friday 9am Prayer meeting. Come: to meetings, to worship, and to the various groups and Bible studies. Encourage one another: “put courage into” all those who are seeking to grow us higher in faith of God the Father, deeper in service for Christ the Son, wider in our outreach for the community, and broader in the breadth – and indeed breath (“ruach”) – of the God the Holy Spirit.

With hope and joy,

Rev. Frank (Van Der Korput), Supply Minister
