Praying at Pentecost
Pentecost assures us of the power of prayer. So may we pray!
The next Church Council meeting will take place on 11th June, with our AGM to happen after our combined Service at Umina on 29th June. One of our Presbytery Ministers, Rev. Punam Bent, will be our Guest preacher at that service.
How are you preparing for the AGM? Is God calling you to nominate someone to be a Church Councillor, or are you willing to accept nomination? Are you praying for the current and future leadership of Central Coast South UCA?
The Chairperson and Treasurer and Team Leaders are writing their Annual reports, and I am writing my Supply Minister’s report. Are you praying for us all, and will you give thanks to God for all that we have achieved together?
On Friday (6th) the Supporting and Resourcing Mission Team, as well as the Connecting with God Team, will meet. Pray for everyone on these Teams, and for our Worship life, our Finances, and stewardship of our Property. Pray also as we begin the process of moving all of our electronic files onto Synod’s SharePoint site.
As we celebrate Pentecost this Sunday (8th), may we pray that as individuals and as a Church we will be filled with the Holy Spirit. Like John Wesley, may our hearts “be strangely warmed”, not for our own inner satisfaction, but that others may come to know the refining fire of Jesus and His Gospel.
With hope and joy,
Rev. Frank, Supply Minister
